DAY HABILITATION PROGRAM
Human First’s Day Habilitation Programs focus on areas that foster an individual’s personal growth, as well as the development of vocational and daily living skills to enhance communication and socialization.
These habilitation services may be provided to an individual regardless of his or her living environment, and regularly take place in a non-residential setting separate from the individual’s private residence or home.
As a result of the following goal-oriented activities, individuals are able to demonstrate increased independence, productivity, self-advocacy and relationship building as they successfully integrate into the community:
- Work/Volunteer Training;
- Computer and Academic Skill Development;
- Theater and Music Workshops;
- Behavior Management Counseling;
- Personal Fitness;
- Recreational outings;
- Cooking, Cleaning, and other Independent Living Skill Development;
- Travel Training.
